Preparing for your new puppy's arrival is an exciting time!

Puppy food
We feed our puppies Diamond Naturals Large Breed Lamb and Rice puppy food. Diamond Naturals can be found at Runnings, Tractor Supply, Fleet Farm and most big box pet supply stores. Crate
We start crate training puppies when they turn 5 weeks old. Crates are an excellent way to keep your puppy safe when you are sleeping or away from home. We recommend a 42" crate for Golden Retrievers and female Bernese Mountain Dogs. A 48" crate is recommended for male Bernese Mountain Dogs.

Brushes and Combs
We recommend a slicker brush, comb and an undercoat rake for English Cream Goldens and Bernese Mountain Dogs.

Potty Tray
Your puppy will start training to potty on a tray at 3 weeks old. The puppies are rockstars at using the trays by the time they are 8 weeks old! A potty tray can be a very useful tool when potty training your puppy. We recommend placing the tray near the door you would like your puppy to exit from to go outside. Your puppy will be drawn to the tray when he/she needs to go potty. The goal is to get your puppy outside BEFORE they use the tray. If you're too late, cleanup is easy!

Fencing
We love this fencing! We use it in the house, in the garage and outside - for our big dogs and the puppies. It can be used to keep your puppy contained in a safe space in your home or you can bring it with you anywhere you go. It's so easy to transport and a breeze to set up!
